Our goal is that you quilt your own quilt with confidence.  Starting with needle know-how, methods to mark your quilt top, and NUMEROUS thread choices, you will work from walking foot techniques to free-motion fun.

Learn to incorporate stencils, freezer paper designs and Golden Threads paper as part of your design process.  Examine how to decide which quilting design will best suit our next project.  Heather covers so MANY different areas in this four-part class.

Requirements:

SUPPLY LIST 1st Class: • Sewing machine in good working order (including power cord, foot control and manual) • Walking foot or even feed foot • Variety of sewing machine needles including universal, denim or topstitch, metallic and embroidery needles • 2M of unbleached cotton (Muslin) • 1M of batting (Request or Select) • 2 spools of cotton thread of contrasting colors • Safety pins • Masking tape • Pencil and ruler • Quilting gloves • Basic sewing supplies 2nd Class: • Free motion foot or quilting foot • Threads: decorative, rayon, metallic, cotton – different weights of thread 3rd Class: • Stencils, tracing paper, quilt motif books, small piece of freezer paper, fabric marking pens 4th Class: • Small project to practice on – can be a printed panel –or small item that you want to practice on.
